On these two consecutive Sundays, there’s not a homily for me to post for you.
How so? On March 22, we had our Parish Mission priest get up and speak and introduce himself to you in the homily spot. It was so to help inspire you to come to his three nights of spirituality in the church. Fr. Dominic gave us a fine Mission.
On March 29, we have the double gospel Sunday of introducing the Lord Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem, and then a preview into his passion. We do the long drama version of the Passion, and does it leaves not much time for a homily.
These two Sundays depict events that happened within one week’s time and within miles of each other—beginning in Bethany and going to Bethpage and heading into Jerusalem and then returning to Jerusalem and an upper room and a Garden of Gethsename and remaining in the Holy City eventually out to Mount Calvary and the burial site in the hewn grave on the hill.
