So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love. (1 Cor 13:13)

In the Sacrament of Marriage, a man and woman vow to love and honor each other all the days of their lives. Preparation for the sacrament of marriage focuses on helping you live the vows that will be exchanged at the wedding. Before you reserve any reception hall or hire a band, please talk to the pastor or one of the deacons of the parish. We will help you prepare to live together as husband and wife all the days of your lives.

Parish Requirements:

1. The bride or groom (or a member of their family) should be registered, active parishioners of the Church of the Resurrection.

2. A minimum of 6 months is needed to prepare for the wedding.

3. Saturday weddings need to be concluded by 2:00 pm.

For more information on policies and guidelines, see the Church of the Resurrection Wedding Handbook.  If you have any questions you can contact Father John Barry at 301-288-4662 or email.
