Resurrection’s Adult Choir will be performing at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, PA on 9/11/2022. They will be singing David Kanter’s “September Morning” at the morning ceremony and at an afternoon performance, during which the choir will offer several other works.
The ceremony will begin on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 9:45 a.m. EDT at the Memorial Plaza. At 10:03 a.m., the moment Flight 93 crashed, the names of the passengers and crew members will be read with the ringing of the Bells of Remembrance. The ceremony will be livestreamed on the park’s Facebook page.
“September Morning, a Memorial Anthem after 9/11/2001” has been performed at Resurrection Church every year since it was written in 2002. In 2021 a virtual video was produced; it included voices from around the country and the Pacific Islands.
