Yesterday we received the news that Cardinal Gregory has given a new assignment to our parochial vicar, Father Dan Gallaugher, effective July 3. Father Dan will be serving as a hospital chaplain: part-time at Washington Hospital Center and part-time at Sibley Memorial Hospital, both in DC. He will be in residence at St. Gabriel parish (near Washington Hospital Center).
With Father Dan’s move just 3 weeks away, there are several opportunities to say goodbye to him:
- The 15th anniversary Mass and reception for him and others ordained in 2009, at Resurrection parish, on Thursday, June 20, starting at 7:00 p.m.
- At Riderwood, he will celebrate the Sunday, June 16, 2:00 p.m. Mass; and the Sunday, June 23, 9:00 a.m. Mass.
- At Resurrection, he will celebrate the Sunday, June 30, 10:30 a.m. Mass.
There is something that Father Dan would love to receive from you—as he has requested whenever he has moved to a new assignment. Would you write him a note (card, letter, email) telling him about the gifts the Lord has given to you through his priestly ministry? Your note will help him now and in the future!
Hi father Dan, I just replied to a post from you in the intergifted community facebook group, but it seems that you left this group? If you are not member anymore of this community but still want to read my response, just send me an email.
Blessed continuation in your new assignment!
