“Living the Gospel” is an Adult Faith Formation Series
A Joint Venture of St. Camillus, Resurrection, and St. John the Baptist Catholic Churches.

This series of retreats, workshops, and discussions brings the Gospel to bear on our daily lives. Using the teachings of Jesus, we will personally and collectively ground ourselves in God, becoming more open to the ways God’s love can transform us. Topics will include forgiveness, peace, and the joy of God. The series centers on living the contemplative dimension of the Gospel, which is about experiencing God beyond thinking. Led by staff and parishioners,
except where noted.
What we plant in the soil of contemplation,
we shall reap in the harvest of action. ~Meister Eckhart

This Third session of the 2019-2020 Living the Gospel series will be held at Resurrection: Finding God in a Secular Age

All of us live within a secular world that makes it difficult to find God at work anywhere. This world makes it easy even for a person of faith to be oblivious to God’s activity and not even care about God.
So how can we find God in our secular age?  We need a new way of understanding and imagining God’s presence and activity in our world.  In this talk Ed McCormack will offer three ways of understanding and re-imagining God’s activity in the world that will make it much easier to find God in all situation.
Workshop Leader: Dr. Ed McCormack, member of the formation faculty at Theological College and a deacon at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
