A replica of Our Lady of Guadalupe’s Tilma (Encased) will be at Resurrection October 9th-October 12. It will be by the church baptismal font for viewing. It will also be at  Riderwood at the October 10th, 2:00pm  Mass. With gratitude to the Archdiocese of  Washington Office of Cultural Diversity and Outreach, we will have an opportunity to learn about the significance of the image, its historical roots, and Mary’s message to welcome the stranger seeking  a home and place of rest in our church and community.
This special tilma was hand-embroidered by the nuns of the Convent of the Perpetual Adorers of the Blessed Sacrament in the city of Morelia in  Michoacun, Mexico.
During the four days, the Replica of Our Lady of Guadalupe parish religious education program is planning on having special activities for the students and families too.
