Community Life

Taste of Resurrection International Dinner

In October our parish holds its annual Taste of Resurrection International Pot-Luck Dinner to celebrate the diversity of our community. Parishioners are asked to bring some specialty dish representative of their home state, country, or ethnic origin. The Amadeo Room is brightly decorated with colorful flags and balloons and is filled with parishioners literally from around the world gathered in the Spirit of welcoming, community and friendship.

The wide varieties of home-made international delicacies are always plentiful and outstandingly delicious, covering more than 8 tables for the main dishes, 2 tables for the children's foods, and 3 more tables full of specialty desserts. What a unique opportunity to sample such a wide variety of authentic foods from around the world, all in one place!

Bringing our parishioners together to appreciate the cultural and ethnic texture of our parish, to enjoy our delicious diversity, and to celebrate our oneness as a community is what the Taste of Resurrection is all about. This festive celebration of our parish's international community is a fixed scheduled event on the parish's calendar to be held annually on the third Saturday of October. Please check the bulletin as October draws near for more details.
